OSHA’s “National Stand-Down to Prevent Falls in Construction” Safety Training

OSHA’s “National Stand-Down to Prevent Falls in Construction” is an annual voluntary event for employers to talk directly to all employees about safety and usually done the first full week of May. On Friday, May 2nd, the eve of stand-down week, ARI Environmental and Quality Insulators did just that, bringing in safety professionals Chris Murray and Alex Crabbe from Werner and Rampart Safety respectively, discussing Fall Hazards and reinforcing the importance of Fall Prevention in construction. Falls are still the leading cause of worker deaths, so this dedicated time allowed for discussion on prevention strategies and reinforcement of safety expectations, with the ultimate goal to prevent injuries and save lives.

Safety discussions in general, are held daily at every jobsite, focusing on that day’s events and challenges, and being led in conjunction with site-specific safety and/or by company safety personnel, project managers and foreman. These discussions raise awareness, promote communication and strengthen our safety culture.

We’ve Updated Our Look-Check Out Our New Logo!

We’re excited to share some big news with you – we’ve refreshed our logo!

Along with the new business name, the timing was ideal to update our logo to reflect some important values that have been a part of the way we do business since the company was founded in 1985. John E, our architect intern, was tasked with developing one unified logo. We wanted the logo to reflect Synergy, Simplicity and Similarity. The new logo needed to represent both sister companies, ARI Environmental and Quality Insulators.

Why the Change?

Over the years, our brand has grown, evolved, and adapted to better serve you. Our sister company, Asbestos Removal is now doing business as ARI Environmental. They continue to specialize in asbestos removal for commercial, residential and industrial clients under the same management and owner; however, they adopted a new name to better reflect ALL the services they offer. We felt it was time our logo reflected that growth too. John E, our architect intern, was tasked with developing one unified logo. While our mission and values remain the same, we wanted the logo to reflect Synergy, Simplicity and Similarity. The new logo needed to represent both sister companies, ARI Environmental and Quality Insulators.

  • Synergy between the two companies representing sharing resources and values
  • Simplicity in design to modernize
  • Similarity to bring along previous logo attributes for recognition and employee tradition

What’s Staying the Same?

Our commitment to quality, innovation, and you – our customers – is stronger than ever. We are still providing the same great products/services, just with a new logo to reflect some important values that have been part of the way we have been doing business since 1982.

Where You’ll See the New Logo

You’ll begin to see our new logo across our website, social media (Facebook and LinkedIn), official documents, and anywhere else our brand appears. It might take a little time for the update to reach everything, but we’re working hard to ensure a smooth transition.

We all agree that the new logo exceeded our expectations. We continue our tradition of providing mechanical insulation and removable reusable insulation blankets for commercial and industrial clients. Thank you for being part of our journey – and here’s to the future with a bold new look! Contact us about your project.

Recognized for Excellence in Construction Workplace Safety

Quality Insulators was one of many contractors from across Wisconsin that were recognized for their exceptional commitment to jobsite safety at this year’s ABC of WI SuperCon Safety Conference. The annual conference, hosted by Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) of Wisconsin, has celebrated hundreds of members for prioritizing safety through the ABC of Wisconsin Chapter Safety Awards Program for more than three decades.

Among the most prestigious honors presented at the event is the Safety Award of Excellence, which recognizes ONE outstanding company in each of three categories: Small Contractor, Mid-Size Contractor, and Large Contractor. To qualify, recipients must maintain incident rates at least 25% better than the industry average for total OSHA recordables and lost workday cases. Additionally, winners must demonstrate a comprehensive safety program and a proven track record of excellence in workplace safety.

This year, Quality Insulators was awarded the Mid-Size Contractor “Safety Award of Excellence” for 2024. Congratulations to our leaders, foreman and crew members who day in and day out put safety first. Accepting the award is our newest crew member and safety manager Reece Glish. Excellent indeed! Call us and count on Quality Insulators and ARI Environmental to protect our biggest assets, your employees and our employees.

ABC Project of Distinction Gold Award

Quality Insulators was awarded the ABC Project of Distinction Gold Award for the featured project: Bellin Health Ambulatory Surgery Center.

A very proud moment for Quality Insulators and ARI Environmental- two synergistic sister companies that share resources and values. A testament to the hard work and dedication of our employees! To win the gold award, the project must push the boundaries of construction by demonstrating:

  • Excellence in safety
  • Quality
  • Innovation
  • Team collaboration
  • Craftsmanship
  • Execution
  • Budget compliance
  • Handling complex challenges

About the project…

Quality Insulators, Inc. installed over twenty miles of insulation for Bellin Health’s Ambulatory Center within nine months, making it one of the largest projects completed considering cost, manpower and time to completion. The proficiency required when working with two mechanical contractors fundamentally affected QI’s design and timeline. Collaboration with fellow stakeholders was extensive and critical for meeting objectives. The original contract was delivered on budget and on time regardless of additions and adjustments.

Factors contributing to the success were:

  • scheduling adaptations
  • workforce flexibility
  • mitigating equipment delays
  • technical expertise that went above and beyond expectations

In early 2022, QI implemented our Sustainability Program. Knauf and Johns Manville meet QI’s sustainability material supplier standard by supplying insulation that passes Greenguard Certification requiring results that meet chemical emission standards. Overall project management led to a contract extension for Phase 2.

This would not be possible without a commitment to safety resulting in QI having no workplace injuries contributing to a Total Recordable Incident Rate of zero, one of the proudest, yet expected contributing factors to the project success!
